I used to feel like my hair only looked good on wash day and then went downhill from there. Recently, I started focusing more on how I refresh my hair during the week, and it’s made a huge difference in how long my styles last.
Now, I lightly mist my hair with water or a water-based spray in the mornings. I follow that with a small amount of leave-in conditioner, focusing on the driest parts. I try not to overdo it because too much product can cause buildup.
If my curls are really frizzy, I’ll retwist a few sections at night and unravel them in the morning. That helps bring some definition back without having to fully restyle my whole head.
This routine has helped me stretch my styles for several days, which saves me time and keeps me from manipulating my hair too much.
