One thing I’ve learned about my natural hair is that moisture really is everything. When my hair is dry, it becomes brittle, tangles more easily, and just doesn’t look its best. Once I started focusing on keeping it moisturized, I noticed a huge difference.
I’ve been using the LOC method—liquid, oil, cream—and it works really well for me. I start with a water-based leave-in, then seal that in with an oil, and finish with a cream to lock everything in. It sounds simple, but the layering makes a big impact.
On days when I skip one of the steps, I can definitely tell. My hair won’t stay moisturized as long, and I end up needing to reapply products more often. With the full routine, I can go a few days without needing to touch it much.
I’ve heard some people prefer the LCO method instead, so I’m curious if anyone here has tried both and noticed a difference. I’m always open to tweaking my routine if it means better moisture retention.
