I’ve tried a lot of protective styles, but simple two-strand twists have become my go-to. They’re easy to do, don’t require extra hair, and are gentle on my strands.
I usually keep them in for about a week or two, making sure to moisturize my hair while they’re in. I also avoid making them too tight so I don’t put stress on my scalp.
When I take them down, I often get a nice twist-out, which is a bonus. It gives me another style without extra effort.
Keeping things simple has worked best for me, and my hair has been thriving because of it.
